We presented serval options and the client’s choice was to have a newly built contemporary orangery built with a lantern roof window and integral blinds.
The whole project was a text book build. After sealing the roof with a fiberglass seal finish we tested the roof for water ingress. We also used a steel (RSJ) expanding the total width of the structure. And installed 3 panel bi-folding door across the front, each sealed glass unit was supplied with an integral blind system, these blinds are encapsulated within the two panes of the double glazed unit which optimises the thermal efficiency which is thanks to the warm edge spacer bar and of course reduces the noise level of slats and negates the need for cleaning the blinds for the next decade!
